How long before I see a result?
Each person responds at different speeds. Some much quicker than others, depending on their physical conditions, age, skin condition, diet, alcohol consumption, smoking habits, etc. Most people see initial results in 4 to 8 weeks, many see results in as short as 1 to 3 weeks. A few people will take as long as 9 to 11 weeks, but this is more unusual. Skin will keep improving for 3 – 6 months after treatment has finished.
Are there any negative side effects?
There are no side effects with this type of treatment. This has been demonstrated through short term and long term clinical studies
Can it damage my eyes?
Studies have found no harmful effects to the eyes when using our product correctly. Indeed, these lights, due to their regenerative properties have been shown to be beneficial for the retina. However, we would recommend keeping your eyes closed to reduce glare effects or to use the enclosed goggles if preferred. If you do suffer with any eye disorders then please consult your specialist before use.
How does it work?
Most skin rejuvenation technologies, such as laser treatments, are designed to produce controlled amounts of thermal damage to the dermis, that is, a subclinical wounding to deliberately cause damage and thus invoke the wound healing process, which leads to production of new collagen. The use of LEDs for skin rejuvenation is unique in that it does not produce any thermal damage. Instead of thermal damaging, it induces a photobiomodulative reaction. Photobiomodulation stimulates fibroblast proliferation, collagen synthesis, growth factors and extracellular matrix production and enhances cutaneous microcirculation through activating the mitochondrial respiratory system of the cells. NASA found that LED lights, working at specific wavelengths, increased wound healing by a factor of 100-200%. These light waves have since been adopted as a post surgical procedure for wound healing, clinical skin rejuvenation, Rosacea and spider vein treatments. Now, with the advent of the britebox revive, these treatments are available for home use.
Can I use it with other creams or medication e.g. roaccutane?
Yes the britebox revive can be used alone or with other skin care treatments. We recommend using an exfoliating facial scrub before treatment and a neutral, nourishing moisturiser, afterwards. We include RVB regenerating scrub and Anti-aging nourishing cream with the britebox revive (Italy’s number one professional skin care brand, as used within 1000’s of beauty salons). People taking medication such as roaccutane should consult their skin specialist before using the britebox revive. Please note: the britebox revive is intended to be a natural treatment and a replacement for creams and medications.
Will I need to replace the LED’s?
If used as per instructions The LED panels have a life expectancy of approximately 200 hours (800 treatments). We would, therefore, not expect for you to replace the LED panels within the products lifetime.
